The work stems from Levani’s ongoing inquiry into language and script. Revisiting childhood memories of learning the Georgian alphabet through playful, cut-out forms, Levani solidifies this memory into something monumental, using marble as a material. It becomes a gesture of resistance, a way to anchor core memories within a core, durable structure.
